Everything You Need to Know About Wedding Photography
What is documentary wedding photography?
Documentary wedding photography is about capturing the day with honesty, sensitivity, and intention. Rather than forcing moments or relying on constant posing, I focus on real emotion, natural interaction, and the atmosphere of the day as it unfolds. The result is a collection of images that feels timeless, elegant, and true to your story.
Will you help us if we feel awkward in front of the camera?
Yes, absolutely. Most couples tell me they are not used to being photographed, and that is completely natural. You do not need to know how to pose. I guide you gently when needed, in a calm and understated way, so that you can feel comfortable, present, and fully yourselves.
Do you photograph weddings in Oslo, Bærum, elsewhere in Norway, and abroad?
Yes, I am based in Oslo and Bærum, and I photograph weddings both across Norway and abroad. Whether you are planning a celebration in the city, somewhere else in the country, or a destination wedding overseas, I would love to hear more about your plans.
How long does it take to receive our wedding photos?
You will receive a small preview gallery already the day after the wedding, so you have beautiful images to share right away. Your full edited gallery is delivered within 8 weeks in a private online gallery. Your current price guide already states next-day previews and full gallery delivery within 8 weeks.
Do you offer both full-day and half-day coverage?
Yes. I offer both full-day and half-day wedding photography, depending on how much of the day you would like documented. Your current packages are 40,000 NOK for full-day coverage and 30,000 NOK for half-day coverage.
How do we book you?
You can send an inquiry through the contact form and tell me a little about your plans. If my work feels like the right fit, we can take it from there and arrange an initial conversation.
Can we get raw or unedited files?
No, I am afraid not. RAW or unedited files are like cake ingredients before the cake is made. They are unfinished work and I want to put together a beautiful story for you from the photos. I want to make sure that the colours are correct, the crop is perfect and you look your best on them:) You are not just hiring me to photograph your wedding, this is just a small part of the job:) Once the day is over, I will start editing your photos. Over the course of the day I have probably taken thousands of photos, and by the time I have finished editing the photos I will recreate your day in pictures - a beautiful "cake" for you to enjoy:)
Do you also offer engagement photography?
Yes, I also offer engagement photography.
Engagement sessions are a lovely way to capture this part of your story in a natural and relaxed way. It is also a great opportunity for us to get to know each other before the wedding and for you to feel more comfortable in front of the camera..
Do you offer both wedding photography and film?
Yes, for selected weddings I offer photography and film as one cohesive experience. Photography remains the foundation of my work, while short cinematic clips are captured quietly throughout the day and later woven together with selected images into a short and atmospheric film. It is designed as a subtle complement to the photographs, not as traditional videography.
What does photography and film as a fusion mean?
It means that I photograph the wedding day as my main focus, while also capturing short cinematic clips along the way. After the wedding, selected photographs and film moments are combined into a short, cohesive film.
How many wedding photos do we receive?
The number of images depends on the length and flow of the day, but you will receive a carefully edited gallery with the strongest and most meaningful images from your wedding. My goal is always to tell the story of the day fully, with both the big moments and the quieter in-between ones.
How would you describe your photography style?
My style is natural, timeless, and documentary, with an editorial sensibility. I am drawn to genuine emotion, beautiful light, quiet details, and the in-between moments that often become the most meaningful. My aim is always to create images that feel refined, honest, and lasting.
